What You’ll Be Doing

  • Directs workers engaged in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings.
  • Maintain and understand security access system and video surveillance including processing of badges of all employees.
  • Responds to any and all alarms in facilities.
  • Maintains key storage for access to all company facilities and distributes appropriately.
  • Directs workers engaged in ground maintenance activities such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, and raking and disposing of leaves and refuse.
  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies. Inspecting and ensuring accuracy and count of vendor agreed product delivery.
  • Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications, and standards.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Maintains time and production records for subordinates.
  • Establishes and monitors cleaning schedules for buildings.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Performs activities of workers supervised.
  • Moving and lifting equipment that can range from 25 to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
  • Maintain work request records and submit to HR/OSHA Safety Manager at the end of each week.

What We Expect You To Have

  • Preferred Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of planning, organizing and direction of custodial staff; Basic computer skills including keyboarding.
  • Knowledge of Computer programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook; Security systems;
  • Knowledge of basic repair techniques and appropriate use of tools.
  • Understanding of company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Ability to: Plan, coordinate and document projects; develop and maintain professional relationship with peers across departments; operate personal computer and all necessary software.  Flexibility is crucial for this position.  Many times job functions will need to be accomplished and completed at night and sometimes on weekends.  It is imperative to be flexible concerning hours of availability in order to accomplish this job satisfactorily.
  • Valid driver’s license.
