What You’ll Be Doing
- Contribute to the development and execution of information security governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for PPS Operations.
- Participate in defining and conveying the department’s information security goals and projects.
- Offer expertise and assistance to senior management in shaping information security strategy and risk threshold.
- Participate in the establishment and upkeep of a thorough risk management program.
- Play a role in recognizing, evaluating, and alleviating information security risks.
- Perform routine risk evaluations and verify the execution of risk mitigation strategies.
- Engage with stakeholders to guarantee a comprehensive grasp of risks and their suitable management.
- Guarantee adherence to pertinent laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Manage and supervise internal audits and evaluations related to information security.
- Formulate, harmonize, and sustain an information security compliance initiative.
- Foster a security-conscious culture among employees and stakeholders.
- Stay current with evolving threats and industry best practices to bolster awareness endeavors.
- Collaborate with the Training team to create and present information security awareness and training initiatives
- Assist with crafting and sustaining an incident response plan, ensuring its efficacy.
- Participate in addressing information security incidents, encompassing containment, inquiry, and restoration.
- Help develop assessments following incidents and enforce remedial measures to avert future occurrences.
- Assist with supervising the evaluation and control of information security risks linked to vendors and third parties.
- Help with sustaining a program for managing vendor-related risks,
- Work in conjunction with procurement and legal departments to embed security requisites within contracts.
What We Expect You To Have:
- 5+ years of experience
- 3+ years in a management position related to IT
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Strong knowledge of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF).
- Working knowledge of pertinent regulations and data protection laws (e.g., GDPR,
- CCPA).
- Exposure of information security, risk management, and compliance, preferably in the B2B travel industry
- Excellent understanding of voice and data networking
- Prior call center operations experience is preferred
- Previous experience in the travel / hospitality industry considered an asset
- Project Management / Six Sigma experience considered an asset
- Effectively communicate with individuals at all levels internally and externally
- Solid analytical skills which result in sound decisions, solutions and recommendations
- Must possess excellent customer service, follow up and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate successfully in a time-sensitive and fast-paced environment
- Stay abreast of industry standards, monitors and reviews best practices, and makes changes as necessary
