What You’ll Be Doing:

Content for Search and AI Answers

  • Build content briefs from live Google results and the sources AI assistants cite: search intent, the questions buyers ask, and what the top pages miss.
  • Write blog content, and optimize service and industry pages drafted with our subject experts, so they rank and can be quoted: a direct answer first, clear headings, specific facts, and examples from our own work.
  • Turn approved case studies, podcast episodes and leadership insights into articles and assets other sites want to link to, such as original data, benchmarks and checklists.
  • Find pages with declining search performance, check the likely causes, and make real updates where quality, relevance or accuracy has slipped, not just a new date. Keep facts, figures and dates accurate across our pages.

Prospecting and Research

  • Build target lists of high-authority, relevant websites: industry publications, customer experience and contact center media, SaaS and AI publications, newsletters, associations, podcasts, and the sources AI assistants cite for our topics.
  • Find where competitors earn links and mentions but we do not, using Ahrefs and Semrush, and turn those gaps into outreach targets.
  • Check every target site before outreach for topic relevance, real organic traffic and editorial standards. In guest articles we write, link with our brand name or a plain URL, and never ask editors for keyword-rich anchors. No bought links, link exchanges or private blog networks. Any sponsored placement needs Team Lead approval, carries rel=”sponsored” and never counts as earned.

Outreach and Placements

  • Come up with story angles and write short, specific pitches to editors for guest articles, expert commentary and data stories, follow up professionally at most twice, and log every target, contact, pitch, status and live link.
  • Get our brands considered for “best of” lists, comparison articles and industry roundups that rank for our buyer queries or are cited by AI assistants, through each publisher’s editorial process.
  • Pitch our leaders as guests on relevant industry podcasts, and turn each appearance into a linked mention.
  • Respond to journalist requests on platforms such as Qwoted or Featured, using an expert source kit of approved bios, headshots and topics for our leaders, and build lasting relationships with editors, journalists and podcast hosts so they come back to us for comment.
  • Write the guest articles and commentary we place, for business decision-makers and in our brand voice.
  • Reclaim unlinked brand mentions and broken links that point to our websites.

Brand Presence and Reporting

  • Get listed on, and keep accurate, review platforms and industry directories such as G2, Clutch and Capterra, using our approved fact record, and ask publishers to correct outdated or wrong facts about us in third-party articles.
  • Support review campaigns on G2 and similar platforms with genuine customers. Follow each platform’s listing and review policies, and invite all customers in a group to review, not only satisfied ones.
  • Take part in relevant Reddit, Quora and LinkedIn discussions as an identified member of our team, answer questions helpfully, and follow each community’s rules on self-promotion.
  • Work with the SEO team so pages that earn links pass value to our key commercial pages through internal links.
  • Monitor new and lost backlinks in Ahrefs or Semrush. Check the linking pages behind any domain a tool flags as toxic, and report real spam patterns to the SEO team, which makes any disavow decision. Report links and mentions earned, new referring domains, and which placements appear as sources in the SEO team’s monthly AI visibility check.

What We Expect You To Have:

  • 2 to 3 years in link building, digital PR, blogger outreach or B2B content with an outreach focus.
  • A record of links or mentions you earned on real, relevant websites, with the URLs.
  • Strong pitch writing: short, specific emails that editors answer.
  • Good judgment on link quality: you can tell a credible site from a link farm, and you know Google’s spam policies on links.
  • Published B2B writing samples, including at least one page that ranked or earned links, and the ability to write guest articles and commentary for business readers.
  • Organized follow-up: you track every pitch and close the loop.
  • Comfort using AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT to research and draft, with the judgment to rewrite their output and check every fact against a source.

Tools and How You Will Use Them:

  • Ahrefs or Semrush: backlink profiles, referring domains, Link Intersect or Backlink Gap for prospecting, new and lost backlinks, and Semrush Backlink Audit.
  • Outreach tools such as BuzzStream, Pitchbox or Hunter: finding the right contact and tracking every pitch.
  • Journalist request platforms such as Qwoted or Featured: expert quote opportunities.
  • Google Search Console and GA4: links to our pages, and referral visits from placements.

Good To Have:

  • Working knowledge of WordPress, HubSpot or Canva.
  • Existing relationships with editors in customer experience, BPO, SaaS or AI media.
  • An example of a placement that later appeared as a source in an AI answer.
  • Experience managing review platform profiles such as G2, Clutch or Capterra.
  • Exposure to BPO, customer experience, SaaS or AI software.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Graduate in any discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Links or placements you earned, plus writing samples you can share. Results matter more than certificates.

How Success Is Measured:

You will receive clear goals, with regular check-ins. Goals cover work within your control, for example:

  • Editorially earned placements, links and brand mentions on sites that pass our quality check. Paid or sponsored placements do not count toward goals.
  • Progress toward agreed targets for earned placements, new referring domains, referral visits, and organic traffic to the content you wrote or refreshed, with targets set after a baseline.
  • New campaign and story ideas proposed, pitched and measured, including ones that did not land.
  • Briefed content published and refreshed on schedule.
  • Review platform and directory profiles complete and accurate.
  • An up-to-date outreach log, with response and win rates.
  • Unlinked mentions and lost links reclaimed.
