Etech volunteers as Personal Shopper for kids of Boys and Girls Club Deep East Texas

LUFKIN, TX – December 13, 2017 – The Etech team proudly served as personal shoppers for Old Navy’s sponsored shopping spree for the Boys and Girls Club of Deep East Texas.

“Etech is honored to be asked to participate and help each kid make the most of this opportunity,” said Etech’s Kaylene Eckels, Chief Operations Officer.

Etech joined other community members in volunteering as personal shopper for 100 Deep East Texas kids. During Black Friday, Old Navy’s across the nation began raising money to give back to those who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. Shoppers who chose to purchase socks from Old Navy’s Cozy Socks Fundraiser helped fund $100 for each child to get a new wardrobe.

Many of the children are a part the Boys and Girls club afterschool program. The afterschool program provides a safe, drug-free environment for children to study, play, and hang out while parents might still be at work. Since some of the parents might not be available, Old Navy and the Boys and Girls Club reached out to local community partners like Etech to help the boys and girls shop for essentials.

This evening not only provided tangible assistance to these families, but it also created a lifetime of memories for the Etech leaders and the children they served.”
