This June is Etech’s 20th anniversary month!
Over the past two decades, Etech has been at the forefront of witnessing remarkable growth and transformation in our people, process, and technology. But one thing remained consistent throughout these years, and that is our commitment to delivering a remarkable customer and employee experience.
Twenty years ago, many of us were working for a Fortune 100 company that formerly owned Etech’s call center in Nacogdoches, Texas. The company and the call center were facing challenging financial times and the decision was made to close the Nacogdoches location. With hundreds of jobs at stake, it was a time of great concern for myself, my family, our community, our customers, as well as our team members.
That is about the time we chose to embrace the moment and seize an opportunity. We created a business plan, secured the needed investments, and positioned the company as a stand-alone solutions provider. On June 15, 2003, Etech was born and since then, we have never looked back!
At the core of Etech was a new philosophy on leadership. The servant leadership philosophy supported Etech’s vision to make a remarkable difference for each other, our employees, our customers, as well as our communities. The goal was to inspire Etech’s leadership team to embrace the vision and participate in transforming the company into a servant-led organization, not an easy task! But we embraced it in every possible way.
It’s hard to believe that after our humble beginnings, Etech is now one of the leading contact centers, data analytics, and technology solutions providers with over 3,600 employees in 10 locations worldwide. We founded Etech with the desire to make a difference in the lives of our people, our company, our customers, and our communities through a servant leadership approach.
We established our twelve-character commitments “Integrity, Humility, Communication, Teamwork, Creativity, Courage, Accountability, Valuing People, Vision, Adaptability, Teachability, and Positive Influence”, which would help keep us on the journey of making a difference and delivering a superior customer and employee experience. Today, our vision and mission epitomize the same desire that took us from start-up to the successful global organization that we are today.
We have been through so many highs and lows, victories and defeats, good times and tough times, yet we have always pulled through together. At Etech, we have battled through many challenges together, but we have persevered, we remain stronger than ever, and most importantly we stand together. As we continue to deliver remarkable customer and employee experiences, I truly believe that our best is yet to come and there is more to achieve.
As we celebrate Etech’s 20-years anniversary, I encourage each of you to embrace each day, to seize opportunities, to cherish each other, to bring a remarkable difference in the lives you touch, to love & trust God and, to enjoy the journey.
Adding more to our celebration, Etech was honored with the prestigious ‘BPO of the Year‘ CCW Excellence Award at Customer Contact Week, one of the largest contact center events held last week.
